What is CBD

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine going back thousands of years. Today the therapeutic properties of CBD are being tested and confirmed by scientists and doctors around the world. A safe, non-addictive substance, CBD is one of more than a hundred “phytocannabinoids,” which are unique to cannabis and endow the plant with its robust therapeutic profile.

We provide the widest variety highest quality CBD products.

Studies have shown that CBD may help re-duce chronic pain by impacting endocannabinoid receptor activity, reducing inflammation and interacting with neurotransmitters. CBD has shown promise as a treatment for both depression and anxiety, leading many who live with these disorders to become interested in this natural approach.

CBD may help reduce symptoms related to cancer and side effects related to cancer treatment, like nausea, vomiting and pain. Researchers believe that CBD’s ability to act on the endocannabinoid system and other brain signaling systems may provide benefits for those with neurological disorders. Recent research has linked CBD with several benefits for the heart and circulatory system, including the ability to lower high blood pressure.

History

Hemp is possibly one of the earliest plants to be cultivated. An archeological site in the Oki Islands near Japan contained cannabis achenes from about 8000 BC, probably signifying use of the plant. Hemp use archaeologically dates back to the Neolithic Age in China, with hemp fiber imprints found on Yangshao culture pottery dating from the 5th millennium BC. The Chinese later used hemp to make clothes, shoes, ropes, and an early form of paper The classical Greek historian Herodotus (ca. 480 BC) reported that the inhabitants of Scythia would often inhale the vapors of hemp-seed smoke, both as ritual and for their own pleasurable recreation.

Plant Differences

Because Hemp naturally contains very little THC, it is legal in the United States. Hemp has been studied for its healing properties, including pain, inflammation, anxiety, heart, circula-tory system, etc.

Whereas marijuana has a high THC content from 10% to 40%. Seeing the massive economic and medicinal benefits that Marijuana can provide, Colorado has legalized marijuana.

Hemp Vs. Marijuana

Hemp features skinny leaves that are concentrated towards the top of the plant and grows taller and skinnier than Marijuana, with few branches beneath its upper portion.

Marijuana features broad leaves, dense buds and has a short, bushy appearance.

In addition to using hemp for medical reason, it is also widely used to produce hundreds of crucial resources such as paper, clothing, building materials, biofuel, food products, oils and more.
